Últimamente não paro de viajar pelo que tive de "aperfeiçoar" os meus cuidados para que o meu corpo não acuse o cansaço, tanto por dentro como físicamente, logo podem dar uma espreitadela aos meus pequenos truques salva-vidas na revista Livening aqui.

Apanhado Simples e Rápido | Fast and Easy Hairdo

          

          

          

          

          

Este apanhado é aqueles mesmo rápidos e verdadeiramente simples, ficando sempre bem (daí ser dos meus favoritos também! hehe). Trata-se de fazer o mesmo apanhado 3 vezes de seguida, primeiro, agarra-se um bocado de cabelo encima com um elástico, depois basta passar o cabelo restante cabelo entre o elástico e...voilá! Depois só basta repetir. Espero que gostem =)

This hairdo it´s really fast to do and sooo simple, getting it always right (that´s why it´s one of my faves! hehe). All you have to do it´s the same thing 3 times. Firts, you do a high ponytail with 1/3 of your hair, then you must pass the rest of the hair between the elastic and... voilá! All you have to do it´s repeat it. Hope you like it =)

The Bow | O Laçarote

Hello dears! Today I bring you a "how to do a hair do" post =) I´ve always wanted to learn how to do a bow with my hair and finally did it the other day, it´s actually quite easy and simple. As you can see on the photos above, first, you have to do a pony tail but not all the way, just enough to leave a bump. Then, you split the bump in two.

Bom dia meninas! Hoje trago-vos um post de "como fazer um penteado" =) Sempre quis aprender a fazer um laçarote com o meu próprio cabelo e o outro dia finalmente consegui, na realidade é muito fácil e simples. Como podem ver na primeira foto, façam um carrapito que depois dividam em duas partes.

Lips "A La Carte"

I´ve been looking for a fucsia mate lipstick without success, but also I wanted a mate pink "chicklet" lipstick as well, which I just couldn´t find! So, finally, the solution I came across was this two combinable lipsticks from Sleek, where I can make all the combinations I want until I get the tone I desire, great isn´t it?

Ando a procura de um batom rosa shock mate há um certo tempo sem sucesso, mas também queria um batom cor de rosa "chicklet", também mate, o qual custa-me horrores encontrar! Summer time is a wonderful time of the year, but is also the time when our hair and skin gets more exposure, and therefore is mistreated. Here I leave you my tips and tricks for this time of the year. First of all, protection! I often use either Nivea or Eucerin Sun Screen (recently I´ve tried the new Nivea Protect&Refresh that is perfect for those really hot days, since it´s really fresh and cools you down). Also a good aftersun is indispensable! I love having my nails really colorful on summer time, but what I really like is to have a nice tan and have my nails painted in white, does a great effect. Another thing I always take care, but specially on Summer, is my hair, therefore I use the Solar Haircare line from Elvive, which is great. Do you use any of this products/tips? Any advices for an extra special summer care?

 

O verão é uma época do ano fantástica, mas também é a época em que a nossa pele e cabelo estão mais expostos e maltratados. Aqui deixo-vos algumas dicas para esta estação. O mais importante, a protecção! Normalmente uso ou os protectores da Nivea ou da Eucerin (recentemente experimentei o novo Protect&Refresh da Nivea o qual é óptimo para aqueles dias de calor em que estamos na toalha e precisamos de nos refrescar). Também um bom aftersun é indispensável para um bronzeado duradouro, bonito e saudável. Adoro ter as minhas unhas pintadas com cores fortes, mas o que realmente gosto é de ter um bom bronze e ter as unhas pintadas de branco, fica um contraste giríssimo. Também semrpe cuido do meu cabelo, especialmente nesta época, logo uso a gama Solar da Elvive, a qual é óptima. E vocês, utilizam algum destes produtos/dicas? Tem algum truque especial para o verão?

Banyan Tree Spa - Estoril

 

This past weekend I finally got to enjoy an experience I´ve been looking forward to have: I got a 90 minutes facial treatment at the Banyan Tree Spa in Estoril and it was just amazing! First, you have access to all the facilities, dinamic pool, sauna...Just Heaven! And then, a Thailand girl escorts you to the threatment room (they are all thai! They stay here for a year and go back to their countries), and get the hole "Thailand experience". First, it´s sort of a ritual, they wash your feet and ask you to choose which incense you want, then they clean your face and apply the vapo machine to open the pores. After that they do like 3 different types of scrubing, then they apply a mask, and while you wait they do a mini body massage. Afterwards they apply a freezing towels (it is really really cold!) to strech the skin and activate the circulation, and finally they mousturize and finish with a head massage. To end the ritual, you have a Ginger&Lemon tea with grapes. As I said, just Heaven!

 

O fim de semana passado finalmente tive o prazer de ter uma experiência que já queria fazer há algum tempo: Tive uma limpeza facial de 90 minutos no Banyan Tree Spa em Estoril e foi simplesmente incrível! Primeiro, dão accesso a todas as instalações, a piscina dinâmica, a sauna, ao banho turco... É como estar no ceu! Depois, uma miúda tailandesa nos acompanha a sala de tratamento (todas as esteticistas são tailandesas, estão cá um ano e depois voltam a seu pais), de maneira a começar a "experiência tailandesa". Primeiro, há uma especie de ritual, onde nos lavam os pes e nos perguntam qual é o incenso que preferimos, depois começa a limpeza e a aplicação de vapor no rosto para abrir os poros. Depois disso fazem 3 tipos diferentes de exfoliação, aplicam uma máscara, e fazem uma mini massagem corporal em quanto esperamos a que faça efeito. A continuação aplica. uma toalha gelada no rosto (estava mesmo mesmo fria!) para esticar a pele e activar a circulação, e finalmente hidratam para acabar com uma massagem de cabeça. Para acabar o ritual, dão-nos um chá óptimo de Gengibre e limão com uvas. Como disse, é como estar no ceu!

Wanna Get Ready for Summer Time?

First things first, so the main thing to do is prepare our body from the inside-out, cleaning your organism with a Detox program. These can be adjusted to your preferences, since there are Detox in capsules, in concentrate doses and even in form of smoothies. I´m starting with a 7 day intensive program from Ortis (you can get any kind similar to this ones at a Bio Food store near you) where I have to mix the concentrate with water, but here in Portugal we also have the Liquid Smoothies that can even help you to do the Detox on an easy and fun way. Detox is important since by cleaning up your organism it improves it´s performance, so your digestive system is regularized, and avoids liquid retention. I´ll tell you soon enough how is this working for me!

 

Primeiro, o mais importante para preparar o corpo para o verão é trabalhar de dentro para fora, limpando o organismo com um programa Detox. Este pode ser ajustado as preferências de cada um, dado que existem programas em cápsulas, em bisnagas concentradas que são diluídas em agua e até batidos! Eu estou a começar com um programa da Ortis (comprei na Celeiro), mas também se pode recorrer aos batidos da Liquid, que ajudam a fazer o Detox de uma maneira mais simples e divertida. O Detox (desintoxicação) é muito importante dado que, ao limpar o sistema, este melhora o seu rendimento, regularizando o sistema digestivo e evitando a retenção de líquidos. Não tarda nada irei contar-vos como me está a correr o meu Detox!

The second step to follow is once again cleaning, but this time the outside. There are all kinds of scrubs, but you must take into consideration that there are specific types depending on the zone. Cleaning is essential since you remove all the dead cells, this allows the skin to have less unevenness and therefore is easier to have a better and prettier tan. Here I leave you my favorite products for this matter: the Eucerin Face Scrub, the Hansaplast Feet Peeling and the Karité Butter body scrub from The Body Shop. A little tip, scrubbing works a lot better when you use scrub glove.

O segundo passo a seguir é mais uma vez a limpeza, mas desta vez por fora. Há muitos tipos de exfoliantes, mas o que devem ter em conta é que há tipos específicos para cada zona da pele. A limpeza da pele é essencial, dado que ao removermos as células mortas, as pele fica lisa e sem irregularidades, facilitando assim um bronzeado homogéneo. Aqui deixo-vos os meus produtos favoritos para o efeito: o exfoliante de rosto da Eucerin, o exfoliante 2&1 para pés da Hansaplast (a venda em farmácias e parafarmácias) e o exfoliante de corpo de manteiga de Karité da The Body Shop. Uma pequena dica, a exfoliação resulta mesmo muito melhor usando uma luva/esponja.

 

The final step is moisturizing, since drinking water is imperative, but not enough, to hydrate the dermis cells. Don´t you just realize that when you have more moisturized skin at the beach you get a brilliant tan? For face care I use the Eucerin Aquaporin, which also has SPF15, I also like the Kiehl´s Ultra Facial Moisturizer (also has sun screen protection). For my body I discovered recently the perfect product for me, the Nivea Body In Shower, which I basically use in the shower, after cleaning up my self with soap, and the I simply rinse it of and dry myself with the towell and… voilá! I can save time (which I usually don´t have!) and get dress right the way, since I don´t have that sticky feeling, and have my skin moisturized anyway, just love it!
 

O último passo é a hidratação, dado que beber agua é imperativo mas não o suficiente para hidratar a pele. Não vos acontece que, quando põe creme hidratante antes de ir a praia apanhar sol, depois ficam com um bronzeado mais bonito? Para o rosto uso dois produtos, ambos com protecção solar 15, o Aquaporin da Eucerin, e o hidratante da Kiehl´s, mas para o corpo acabei de fazer o descobrimento do produto perfeito para mim, o Condicionador Corporal da Nivea, o qual coloco logo a seguir a lavar-me com sabão no duche, depois retiro-o (passo por agua), seco-me com a toalha e… voilá! Poupo tempo (o qual não tenho!) e posso vestir-me logo a seguir dado que não tenho aquela sensação de pele pegajosa, e a minha pele fica hidratada igualmente, adoro!

I´ve always loved tattoos, some of them (colored ones) I rather see it on other people but I have 2 tattoos myself. But sometimes we may like to have one or two discret and temporally, for special occasions, for a specific meaning or just for decoration. Well, now it´s possible with the Tattoo me pen by Sephora. There are 3 different shapes: stars (the one I´ve got for myself), anchor and skull. They last all day and can be easily removed with water and soap. Are you also a tattoo lover? Wich shape do you like the most?

At school on mothers day this used to be one of the tipical gifts we made, but it can make a perfect and original piece of decoration, even when we are old! I´ve never been a true BB Cream miracle believer until I tried out the new BB Cream from Nivea and now I can´t live without it! For the first 5/10 minutes I dind´t quite like it, it seam to creamy, but that was exactly the point, since after that time, it mousturizes your skin and blends perfectly with it, looking perfect and totally natural. What about you, are you BB fans? Have you already tried this one from Nivea?

 

Nunca acreditei bem nos milagres do BB Cream mas desde que experimentei o novo BB Cream da Nivea não passo sem ele! Não gostei de ver nos primeiros 5/10 minutos, parecia demasiado cremoso, mas é exactamente assim que tem de ser, visto que, depois disso, hidrata e alisa a pele perfeitamente, ficando com um óptimo aspecto e completamente natural. E vocês, são fãns dos BB Cream? Já experimentaram este novo da Nivea?

Benefit BrowBar

 

I have friends that don´t like to do their eyebrows, but I´m one of those girls that really "needs" to do them. I don´t like them to thin or curvy, instead I like them when they have a little spike-up opening the eye (in my case it´s really something important since I have small eyes). I find it really though to find someone to take care of my eye brows the way I like but the other day I whent to try the Benefit BrowBar at Sephora and became a total fan! Besides the great treatment (the girls was a doll) they explain to you all the tecnique. First, they mark the traces and shape you should have using their standars and patterns, secondly, they use a wax that doesn´t pull the skin, only the hair, and finally, they apply a azulene oil to recover and mostourize the area. I totally loved the result!

 

Tenho amigas que não gostam de fazer as sombracelhas mas eu sou uma daquelas miúdas que realmente "precisa" de as fazer. Não gosto delas demasiado finas, nem curvas, em vez disso gosto de as fazer com um pequeno pico para abrir o olhar (no meu caso é bastante importante visto que tenho os olhos pequenos). Para mim é bastante dificil encontrar alguém que as faça como eu gosto mas o outro dia experimentei o BrowBar da Benefit na Sephora e fiquei fã! Para além do óptimo atendimento (a miúda era um amor), explicou-me passo a passo a técnica utilizada. Primeiro, marca os traços da forma que as sombracelhas deveriam ter utilizando os seus standars e padrões, depois utilizam uma cera que só puxa o pelo e não a pele, e por último, aplicam um óleo de azuleno para tratar e hidratar a zona. Amei o resultado!

Tangled

 

The other day a friend of mine showed me her lattest discovery, the Tangle Teezer. It looks like a regular comb but I doesn´t break your hair and it leaves it all bright and shiny (it almost sounds like a Tv add hehe). Whent right the way to the drogestore to get mine. Have any one of you already tried it? Do you like it?

 

O outro dia uma amiga minha partilhou comigo a sua mais recente descoberta, o Tangle Teezer. Parece uma escova nomal de cabelo mas penteia e desfaz os nós sem que o cabelo quebre, além de deixa-lo brilhate e sedoso (até parece um anuncio de Tv hehe). Fui logo a farmácia comprar o meu. E vocês já experimentaram? Que acharam?

Self Esteem

     

Because we don´t need a reason to pamper our selfs and cause learning how to take care of our image, and most of all, our skin, it´s a really good thing, here I show you some of my little secrets. I´ve been using Eucerin for a few couple of months and really started to like it´s products since I´ve been noticing it´s effects and benefits. I´ve already tried other pharmaceutical brands which I also like, such as Clinic, but this are my new faves, the face cream AquaPorin, besides having a great scent and texture (for me those are very important factors) I can actually see an improvement on my skin. Also I love the Dermo Purifier Face Scrub which I use on my cleaning routine. And finally the Body Oil for Strech Marks (which I have all over my tights), helps me to prevent new ones to appear and decreases the old ones. 

Porque não precisamos de uma desculpa para mimarnos e porque aprender a tomar conta da nossa imagem e, sobre tudo da nossa pele, é uma coisa boa, aqui mostro-vos alguns dos meus segredos. The usado Eucerin nos últimos meses e comecei a gostar dos produtos porque tenho vindo a ver os seus beneficios e efeitos. Anteriormente já experimentei outras marcas farmacêuticas, como é o caso da Clinic da qual também gosto, mas estes são os meus novos favoritos. O creme de cara AquaPorin que, para além de ter um cheiro e textura óptimas (factores muito importantes para mim) tenho visto de facto uma melhoria na minha pele. Também adoro o exfoliante facial Dermo Purifier o qual já faz parte da minha rotina de limpeza. Finalmente o Óleo corporal para Estrias (tenho as ancas cheias delas), ajuda-me a prever que apareçam novas e diminui as antigas.

Let The Winter Come

 

Every year when the weather starts to change I notice almost instantly how my lips dry. I usually get the classic blue label Labello chap stick every time but this year I saw this new one, the Pure & Natural Milk & Honey, and decided to try it and loved it! It´s kind of the same but it smells and tastes like honey, perfect for winter time.

 

Todos os anos quando o tempo começa a mudar noto quase de inmediato como os meus labios ficam secos. Normalmente compro o clássico batóm azul da Labello mas este ano vi este novo, o Pure & Natural Milk & Honey, decidi experimentar e adorei! É muito parecido mas cheira e sabe a mel, perfeito para o inverno.

Let It Shine

Today I tried this manicure that I´ve been wanting to do for a long time. I used a bordeaux nail polish first and then applied the purpurin on the top of the fingernails. I usually have a hard time doing it myself, it took a little while but the results pay off don´t you think?

Hoje experimentei fazer esta manicure que tenho vindo a querer fazer há já algum tempo. Usei um verniz bordeaux primero e depois apliquei o verniz de purpurina no topo das unhas. Normalmente  custa-me bastante fazer a mim propia e demorou um bocadinho mas o resultado compensou não acham?

Kiehl´s Miracles

The other day I tried this 2 productos from Kiehl´s that some friends of mine told me about. They said there were awesome and... Miraculous! Anyway, sometimes we hear about this kind of "great" things and we don´t believe them until we see them with our own eyes right? Well, so I must tell you that for me for once the rumors were true! The Ultra facial cream is an amazing moisturizer, I love the light texture, (it´s not creamy, it´s more liquide) and with a little bit you feel your skin perfect, with a healthy look. Also the Amino acid conditioner is one of the best I´ve tried so far, this I can tell you is one of those products I´m glad to pay for! My hair looks amazing, most of all at the ends. It´s nice for once try products that don´t over promise things and get a pleasant result afterwards. 

O outro dia experimentei estes dois productos da Kiehl´s dos quais algumas amigas me tinham falado. Disseram-me que eram fantásticos e... Milagrosos! De qualquer das formas,  como estamos sempre a ouvir falar de coisas "óptimas" eu cá não acredito até não ver com os meus propios olhos. Por isso devo dizer-vos que por uma vez os rumores são verdade! O creme hidratante de cara "Ultra facial cream" é incrível, sobretudo porque adoro a textura suave (não é nada pesada, é mais líquida do que o resto) e com um bocadinho fico logo com a pelo com aspecto saudável. Também o condicionador de Aminoacido é um dos melhores que alguma vez experimentei, para mim é de facto um daqueles productos que até da gosto pagar! O meu cabelo tem óptimo aspecto, sobretudo nas pontas. É bom por uma vez experimentar productos que não prometem demais e que depois de ver o resultado final levamos uma agradável surpresa.

Biotine Champo: Truth or Myth?

Lately it seams that everyone has gone mad about the Biotine champo, (not yet in Portugal), but as I´m spending my vacations in Spain, here it´s what it´s all about! This is more commonly known as champo for horses. Yeah, you read well, people are washing their hair with a product used in animals. The reason for this is mainly that there´s a rumor that it helps the hair to grow faster and to look brighter, but yesterday I saw scientific experts saying that this ingredient only has effect when digested an not when applied on the skin or hair directly. There´s a bunch of famous people using it such as Jennifer Aniston and our dear Sarah Jessica Parker so I got curious and I´ve tried it. I must tell you I didn´t find any difference, instead it made my hair dryer, so maybe other people actually notice some improvements, but not in my case. Be aware dears!

Ultimamente parece que toda a gente anda maluca com o champo de Biotina, (ainda não por terras lusas), mas como ando de ferias por Espanha, aqui não se fala de outra coisa! Este producto é mais conhecido concretamente por ser champo para cavalos. Sim, leram bem, o pessoal anda a lavar o cabelo com um producto para animais. A razão principal para isto é que existe o rumor de que ajuda a crescer o cabelo mais rápido e dá mais brilho, mas ontem vi ums especialistas a dizer que o tal ingrediente só é efectivo quando ingerido e não quando utilizado por vía utópica. Como há uma data de pessoas famosas como a Jennifer Aniston ou a querida Sarah Jessica Parker fiquei curiosa e tive de experimentar. Devo dizer-vos que não só não notei nenhuma vantagem como muito pelo contrario, secou-me inmenso o cabelo, e pode haver efectivamente pessoas que notem melhorias, mas não é o meu caso. Tenham cuidado com esta lenda urbana meninas!

Braids & Buns

Doesn´t it happen to you to see those wonderful hairstyles and think about how much you would just love to know how to do them to yourself? Well, that happens to me all the time, and lately with this ones. I´ve already tried myself to make  the second one and it´s actually quite simple, all it needs to take its stars rolling inside the two sides of the hair and grab them with some hairpins. Fortunately, sometimes we can indeed get this styles.

Não vos acontece ver apanhados giríssimos e pensar no quão gostavam de fazer em voces propias? Bem, a mim acontece-me o tempo todo, especialmente com estes. Já tentei fazer o segundo e por acaso é bastante simples, só é preciso separar duas partes do cabelo e começar a enrolar para dentro e prender com pinças para o cabelo. Por sorte, de facto algumas veces conseguimos obter estes penteados.
