Award Night and Looking Good

We all like to watch awards ceremonies (even more if you have Rick Gervais as a host!), but what we also love is watching the red carpet gowns, to love them or to hate them. Here are my faves of the Golden Globes 2012 night. What´re yours?

Lessons Are Where We Less Expect Them

Who doesn´t remember the great Disney movies like The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin or Beauty and the Beast? Now I realize that one of the greatest thing about them is the fact that they always teach you one or two lessons, the kind of values you really want your kinds to have, like "the beauty is inside", the fight between good and evil and even things that some grown ups could learn too, like this one... Rafiki was always right!

Quem não se lembra dos grandes filmes da Disney como O Rei Leão, A Pequena Sereia, Aladin ou A Bela e o Monstro? Agora sou consciente de que uma das melhores coisas destes é o facto de sempre nos ensinarem uma lição ou duas, o tipo de valores que queremos que os nossos filhos tenham, como "a beleza está no interior" ou a luta entre o bem e o mal, até coisinhas que alguns adultos também precisavam de aprender, como esta escena do Rei Leão... Rafiki tem sempre razão!

She is the one of the hottest models of the moment, starring this season campaign for the brand and designers that rocked last NY Fashion Week. Yes, I´m talking about Natasha Poly for Proenza Schouler and the result meets the eye. A perfect combination of Lolita/Pin Up beauty with tropical prints and fabrics. Got to love it!

Ela é uma das mais badaladas modelos do momento, protagonizando a campanha desta colecção para a marca e desenhadores que abanaram a passada Fashion Week de NY. Sim, estou a falar de Natasha Poly  para Proenza Schouler, e o resultado salta a vista. Uma combinação perfeita de beleza tipo Lolita/Pin Up com tecido e padrões tropicais. Got to love it!

It´s undeniable that this season the cape coat it´s a mandatory piece in every woman´s closet. But I´ve always dreamed of having a cape like the ones from the fairy tails, long, almost touching the floor, smooth and elegant. Well, I found this little velvet beauty at the Purificación Garcia website and fell instantly in love with it, even more if it´s in sale. So I guess I might get my dream piece after all!

É inegável que nesta estação o casaco de capa é uma peça obrigatória no guarda-roupa de qualquer mulher. Mas eu sempre sonhei ter uma daquelas como as dos contos de fada, comprida, quase a tocar no chão, suave e elegante. Bem, encontrei esta pequena beldade de veludo no site da Purificación Garcia e perdi-me de amores por ela imediatamente, ainda mais se está em saldos. Se calhar, a final ainda arranjo a minha peça de sonho!
